Jimmie L. (Jim) Marberry is an original partner of the Firm, collaborating with David Dalton and Cliff Ravenscraft in 1983 to form the original firm. Prior to that, Jim was on the audit staff of MFA Incorporated, in Columbia, for ten years. Jim is a military veteran, with active service in the U.S. Army from 1971-1974 as a missile officer in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma and Federal Republic of Germany. After returning to Mid-Missouri, he served as a Battery Commander with the 129th Field Artillery of the Missouri National Guard.
Jim shares responsibility for management of the Firm with Tom Eagle. Additionally, he is responsible for the Firm’s tax practice and the wealth management and investment advisory engagements, and serves on the management boards of various entities.
Jim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA), and the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives (NSAC). He has been a registered financial advisor with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) since 2004.
Jim is active in the Memorial Baptist Church, the Boone County Historical Society, the Memorial Day Weekend Salute to Veterans Corporation, and the local chapter of Ducks Unlimited.
Tom Eagle is a partner in the Firm since 2010. Prior to joining the Firm in 2006, he held positions at Scholastic as Director of Financial Analysis and at the Dana Corporation as a Plant Controller. Tom is a graduate of the University of Missouri, with a degree in Accounting.
He currently has primary responsibility for the Auditing/Attestation division of the Firm. His duties also include supervising our Quality Assurance Program He has extensive experience in auditing and financial reporting and taxation of commercial entities including several clients in the insurance industry, employee benefit plans, and agricultural services areas. Additionally, Tom works with individuals on personal and business taxation.
Tom is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA), and the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives (NSAC). He is an active member of the Downtown Rotary Club of Columbia.
Tom enjoys following his daughters’ school and sports activities and spending time with his family.
Jane is a Certified Public Accountant and a Manager in the Firm. Jane is a graduate of the Moberly Area Community College as well as Columbia College. She has extensive experience in financial reporting and taxation for several entities including non-profit organizations, insurance companies and agricultural cooperatives. Jane’s responsibilities in the firm include business and individual tax preparation, small business and non-profit audits and reviews, as well as financial reporting for several clients. Prior to joining this Firm in 2008, she was an accountant for a large non-profit public entity for more than eleven years.
She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA). She and her husband, Darryl, own the Dossey/Rasmussen Orchard located in Moberly, Missouri. In her leisure time, she works in the Orchard and also participates in the activities of her church.
Michelle (Shelley) Talbot is a Certified Public Accountant and a Supervisor in the Firm. Shelley returned to Marberry & Eagle in November 2015, after spending seven years with a Firm in Jefferson City. She has more than twelve years’ experience in accounting, auditing and taxation services. Her client list includes various for-profit entities in several sectors, including real estate and agricultural industries. Additionally, she has substantial experience in corporate, partnerships and personal taxation.
At Marberry & Eagle, she has overall responsibility for our tax department and manages several real estate and university services clients.
Shelley is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Shelley attended William Woods University where she played on the softball team for four years. She and her husband, Brandon, have two daughters. Her interests include cooking, playing coed softball, attending sporting events and just spending time with her family and friends.
Lori is a Senior Accountant with responsibility for the accounting and preparation of financial statements for several clients including various businesses and non-profit entities. Lori also works in the Firm’s Tax Division on business and personal tax matters. She is a graduate of Columbia College and has been with this Firm for more than 25 years.
She currently serves as Treasurer of the Columbia Youth Basketball Association. She and her husband, Dean, are owners of the Hager Radiator Service, located in Columbia. In her leisure time, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially grandchildren, and cooking.
Dan Maier is a Senior Accountant in the Firm with primary responsibilities for auditing, accounting and tax return preparation for several of the Firm clients, including employee benefit plans, agricultural cooperatives, non-profit entities and mutual insurance companies. Dan is a graduate of the University of Central Missouri with a degree in Accounting. While at UCM, he was honored as a McNair Scholar. In addition to co-authoring an in-depth article on pension fund liabilities, during his collegiate years, Dan was an audit and tax intern at the BKD CPAs office in Kansas City.
Dan is a central Missouri native and enjoys hunting and various sports endeavors. He also volunteers at various charitable organizations. He is a member of the Delta Waterfowl Association, the Social Media Club of Mid-Missouri, and the Columbia Chamber of Commerce-Emerging Professionals group.
Paul is a Certified Public Accountant and a Senior Accountant in the Firm. His responsibilities include individual tax preparation, small business and non-profit audits, as well as financial reporting for several clients.
Paul is a graduate of Westminster College with a degree in accounting and he has a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. Prior to joining this Firm, he served in various roles in the banking industry, as well as a coach in a national soccer camp.
During his undergraduate years at Westminster College, Paul played on the men’s soccer team four years and served as the team captain during his junior and senior years. In addition to his passion for soccer, he enjoys golf and following the Manchester United, Oklahoma City Thunder and Oklahoma Sooners teams.
Cindy Luecht is an Accounting Specialist with primary responsibility for initiating and recording transactions in our University Services Division. She has extensive previous experience in the insurance industry working in areas of accounting and technology.
Cindy and her husband relocated from Iowa to Columbia in 2003. She enjoys reading and spending time with her husband Bill and their dachshunds.
Lisa is one of the newer members of the Firm, joining the staff in the summer of 2014, as an Accounting Specialist with primary responsibility for initiating and recording transactions in the University Services Division.
She has previous experience as a business owner and entrepreneur; prior to accepting a position here she owned and operated the Kids’ Depot, Inc. and most recently, the Hands On Ceramics Art Studio.
She is actively involved in many civic activities, including Toys for Tots, Honor Flight and the Stuart B Eiken Foundation. She enjoys several sporting activities and has finished more than ten marathons. She and her husband, Glenn, have five adult children.
Maggy is the familiar face of Marberry & Eagle, P.C. She has been the Receptionist and Office Manager for more than 27 years. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri and is active in the International Association of Administrative Professionals.
She enjoys reading as well as spending time with her family, including three grandchildren.
